Hanover Police investigating smashed bus window

Posted: Updated:
HANOVER, Mass. (WHDH) -

Fourteen kids were on their way home from school in Hanover Tuesday when something smashed into the window and sent glass flying.

No children were hurt but police are taking the incident seriously and investigating whether someone may have thrown or shot something at the bus.

“There was a stunned look on their face but they surprisingly took it pretty cool,” Robert Scott, the driver of the bus, said.

The item caused a hole about the size of a baseball in the lower portion of a window on the driver’s side of the bus.

“We didn’t find anything on the bus so we can’t say with certainty what it was that hit the window on the bus,” Stephen Ingle, director of the bus company said.

Police say there have been similar incidents in town in the past.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Hanover Police Department at (781) 826-3231.
