PINECREST, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police are searching for two men who burglarized several South Florida homes, including one where a 12-year-old was home alone.

According to Pinecrest Police, at least two suspects broke into three Pinecrest homes between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., Monday.

One of the homes was occupied by a girl, who told police that a man wearing a blue shirt and black slacks knocked on the door.

Kylie said she first became scared when she saw the stranger walking into her backyard. "But then, later, he comes into my back porch, and I hear these noises like he's trying to break in, and then I hide, and I hear glass breaking, and I call 911," she said.

Kylie: "Someone just broke into my house and I'm all alone."

Dispatcher: "Excuse me?"

"Someone is breaking into my house, and I'm all alone."

Moments later, the teen heard glass shattering in one of the bedrooms. "And I'm just thinking, Oh, my gosh, I hope they get here soon and I hope this guy doesn't find me in here," said Kylie.

Kylie was hiding in her sisters bathroom. "I could hear loud noises and I saw some guy."

About two minutes later, police arrived on the scene, but the burglar dropped the stolen items and fled on foot.

Surveillance video footage from outside a home revealed the getaway driver, who was waiting outside, was in a 2014 champagne Chevrolet Malibu with tinted windows but fled the scene as policed arrived.

Kylie's mother said, "She never had a thought in her mind that she was not safe in her own house until yesterday, and now she's scared to be alone," said Sandra.
