FALMOUTH, Mass. (WHDH) -
Officials said that a 10-year-old child was living in an East Falmouth home that doubled as a meth lab.
Falmouth Police were executing a search warrant connected with a recent uptick in methamphetamines in the Hyannis area. During an investigation at the Chestnut Street home, police found an active meth lab.
Two people who live at the home were arrested following a motor vehicle stop. In the vehicle with them was the 10-year-old child, who police said was living at the home.
Edward Rooney, 33, who lived at the residence, was charged with possession with intent to distribute and carrying a dangerous weapon. He was intoxicated at the time of arrest. Sean Mahavik, 25, was charged with possession with intent to distribute.
Further charges may be pending. The investigation is ongoing.
