Diners get served by New England Patriots players

Posted: Updated:
BOSTON (WHDH) - Patriots fans in Boston had the opportunity to spend Wednesday night with Patriots players and help out a charity close to Danny Amendola’s heart.

But one thing was a little different; diners weren’t sitting next to the football players, they were getting served by them.

It was all for a good cause, benefiting Catches for Kids.

“There are kids who don't have means to shoes, backpack and books. As long we provide an opportunity for them sometimes that’s all you really need,” Amendola said.

Stevan Ridley was pouring wine and Rob Gronkowski was serving food, even Tom Brady showed up to support his teammates.

“Ball security, you can't drop the wine. It’s the most important part of the night; get drinks in. so I’ve got to make sure I keep my hands on vase at all times,” Ridley said.

A Tom Brady jersey was raffled off and went brought in $5,000 but the woman who won said the opportunity to meet the Patriots quarterback was priceless.
