Arlington man to be charged with threatening principal

Posted: Updated:
ARLINGTON, Mass (WHDH) - An Arlington father is now facing criminal charges after an argument with a school principal.

Police want to charge 40-year-old Robert Goodwin with making verbal threats.

He's expected to appear in court next week.

The incident happened recently at the Stratton Elementary School.

That's where police say Goodwin got upset during a meeting with the principal.

He pulled out his gun permit and police say he made references to owning weapons.

Officers later went to his home where they took away a hunting rifle; his gun license has also been suspended.
