Braintree car wreck backs up Route 93 traffic

BRAINTREE, Mass. (WHDH) - A car wreck in Braintree backed up traffic on Route 93 North on Sunday.

Braintree Fire officials said that a car flipped over after hitting a guard rail between exits 5 and 6. Six people were transported to the hospital and all injuries appear to be non-life threatening.

The car did not catch fire, but officials said that hazardous material leaked from the car.

Braintree Fire, Randolph Fire and State Police responded to the scene.
