Students play ball despite SAT controversy

Posted: Updated:
Some high school baseball players on the North Shore that had to choose between missing a playoff game and the SATs ultimately chose to miss playing the game.

Both Methuen and Chelmsford threatened to boycott a semi-final game that was scheduled on the same day as the SATs. The two teams were set to play Thursday, but rain forced the MIAA to postpone the game to Saturday.

In the end, the teams let the players decide what to do.

Chelmsford ended up winning the game 7-5.
