With lots of ups and downs in our late Spring weather, timing out the sunshine and warmth is key around here, and it looks like the timing works out just fine for us over the weekend.

After picking up 1/4-3/4″ of an inch of rain with yesterday’s storm, rainfall is limited today to just a passing sprinkle or brief shower, in an otherwise partly sunny and dry sky.  We’ve changed the wind direction too, and that’ll allow for temps to warm into the mid 70s.  Hey, we do need the rain sometimes, and it was a good soaking to keep those gardens watered and lawns looking green.

The weekend forecast still looks great with a mix of clouds and sun Saturday and mostly sunny skies on Sunday.  Both days feature highs topping the 80 degree mark, although, it’ll be a touch cooler at the coast thanks to weak sea breezes.  If you’re heading to the beach, plan on mid to upper 70s and plenty of sunscreen as the UV index this time of year is sky high. Water temps still run in the 50s for most beaches, so while sand space may run out, I bet there will be plenty of open water space to splash around in the waves.

Also, humidity is modest, so the frizz factor shows good hair weather through the weekend as dew points hold in the 50s.  Important to know for all those graduation parties and weddings we need to attend this weekend, right?

Enjoy the weekend!
