With temps stuck near 60 and dew points side by side near 60 this morning, we certainly have a soupy air mass in place with areas of fog and drizzle. In addition, we have rain to track and that rain will become heavy at times mid morning, into mid afternoon. Nuisance flooding on the roads thanks to embedded downpours may become an issue at times, but widespread river/stream flooding is not expected since most towns see less than an inch of rain.
Showers become fewer and farther between late in the day, and other than a stray leftover shower tonight, much of the night is dry.
Friday, we start to see the weather improve as highs reach the 70s and some peeks of sun break through. The chance for a passing shower or two is still there, but we’ll feature more dry hours than wet.
How about the weekend? Looking good again, in fact, superb! Highs Saturday and Sunday reach the low to mid 80s, at least away from the immediate coast where temps with local sea breezes may hold in the 70s as well as for the Cape. Saturday features a mix of sun and clouds with a 10% chance of a passing shower/storm and Sunday looks to hold wall to wall sunshine. Dew points run in the 50s over the weekend which is just a modest amount of humidity, so golf course and ball fields should be comfortably warm.
