Woman who fell down elevator shaft released from hospital

BOSTON (WHDH) - The woman who fell two stories down an elevator shaft at Fenway Park is out of the hospital and recovering.

Elisabeth Scotland, 22, has been transferred to a local rehabilitation center following the incident on May 16. She was hospitalized at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and was listed as being in serious condition.

Scotland, who had just graduated from the Boston University School of Management, fell down the elevator shaft when the doors somehow opened.

Investigators are still trying to determine why those doors opened.
