3 injured after truck strikes Winthrop house

Posted: Updated:
WINTHROP, Mass. (WHDH) - Three people were transported to the hospital after a pickup truck struck a house in Winthrop Saturday morning.

The truck, which crashed into the home at around 7:30 a.m., took out the front porch of the home at 375 Pleasant St.

"I thought a plane crashed in the house. The whole house shook," said a woman, who was inside the home when the crash occurred.

According to neighbors, the truck crashed into a home and then tried to back up and ended up going into another home. Debris is still on the lawns from the wreck.

Police have not had a chance to interview the driver. He was taken to the hospital, along with two others that were in the car. Nobody in the homes were injured.

No charges have been filed and the crash is still under investigation.
