A New England Patriots player is embracing his position on the team.

Devin McCourty gave out free safety advice to the people of Boston Thursday.

The Pats starting free safety wore a large sign that read “FREE SAFETY ADVICE” and walked around the Boston Common.

His advice ranged from how to prevent kitchen fires to reminding runners to keep their shoes tied. He even handed out meat thermometers.
