Woman rescued after 90-foot fall in Freetown

FREETOWN, Mass. (WHDH) - A race to the rescue when a woman fell over the edge of a ledge in Freetown.

Officials say, the 20-year-old fell nearly 90 feet, and landed on a rocky shelf in the Freetown State Forest.  

A technical rescue crew had to set up a rope system to reach the young woman.

The crew lowered her to a waiting boat below.

She was taken to the hospital, but is expected to be okay.
