Fenway Bark hoping to reunite injured dog with owner

Posted: Updated:
SOUTH BOSTON (WHDH) - A dog found wandering around Thursday night is in the care of employees at the Fenway Bark doggie day care and kennel.

The St. Bernard was found wandering around near D Street Thursday night with an injured paw. The person who found him called a friend who he knows owns a similar dog, but it wasn't his dog.

The friend took in the stray for the night, paid to have his paw treated by a vet and brought him to Fenway Bark Friday.

“He's pretty clean, he looks like he’s been cared for and we’re hoping someone has just misplaced him or he escaped from somewhere,” King said.

The St. Bernard is around 5 years old and vets say he weighs around 130 pounds, slightly underweight, indicating he may have been wandering for several days.

Anyone with information is asked to call (617) 464-4DOG.
