They say a donut with no hole is a danish. #Truth. They also say a cloud on the ground is fog. Also #Truth. That fog is (was) locally thick right along the coast and will be for a few hours this morning. Meanwhile, farther inland, we have a mix of clouds & sun on tap for the morning hours but eventually clouds from New York/Vermont will take over the sky. These clouds are tied to a weather system that is weak at best. This weak weather system will be able to create clouds today but not much in the way of rainfall. I do think a few isolated showers are possible outside of I-495 but closer to the coast just a few sprinkles are possible. Outdoor activities can get accomplished today.
Clouds, coastal drizzle/fog, and cool conditions. Not exactly a great way to kick off a Holiday Weekend but that is what we have on tap for Friday. Once again, there isn't going to be an steady, long-lasting rain but rather just nuisance sprinkles & coastal drizzle. Temps will take a hit with the low hanging clouds as most towns struggle to reach 50. Not great for the beaches but fine for getting yard work done or playing golf.
Onto the all important Holiday Weekend Forecast! It's looks quite nice with a mix of sun & clouds each day. A warming trend occurs so Saturday sees afternoon temps near 70 (cooler coast) and then by Memorial Day our afternoon temps reach the low 80s! (near 70 Cape Cod Beaches). All three days are dry across eastern New England but there will be the risk of afternoon showers from the Berkshires up through the White Mountains on Saturday & again Sunday.
