Trooper Dumont recognized for actions in Watertown

BOSTON (WHDH) - A Massachusetts trooper receives a big honor today at the state police annual awards ceremony.

Trooper Chris Dumont got the award for his heroics in the marathon bombing arrest in Watertown.

Trooper Dumont is a certified paramedic, and he performed CPR on Officer Dic Donohue who was wounded in the shootout in Watertown.

The day Trooper Dumont made these heroic acts he had also worked as security detail for President Obama and the First Lady.

The first family was here for a memorial service after the marathon bombings.
