Recalled beef sent to 128 Rhode Island facilities

BOSTON (WHDH) - A massive recall of ground beef is expanding.

Products possibly tainted with e-coli were shipped not only to Massachusetts and three other states, but also to 128 facilities in Rhode Island. Those facilities include restaurants, nursing homes and one school in East Greenwich.

In all, nearly two-million pounds of ground beef is being recalled by the Wolverine Packing Company in Michigan.

11 illnesses, including one case in Massachusetts, has been reported
