Goat charges at students after senior prank in Northboro

Posted: Updated:
It was a strange sight when students arrived at Algonquin Regional High School in Northboro Tuesday morning, an angry goat came charging out.

Many people speculate that it was part of a senior prank.

“I guess it was overnight in the girls’ locker room hallway, not the actual locker room. Then when two girls went around to open the door because we were doing another prank it came out and charged at everyone in the morning,” Lindsey Allor, a senior, said.

Not all students found the joke funny, including the senior class president Patrick Kane.

“What seemed like a prank it definitely crossed the line, especially in our classes mind. We feel that this does not represent Algonquin as a whole and it’s not something we definitely condone,” Kane said.

School officials aren’t commenting on the crime but Kane said the school resource officer is investigating.

“They got footage of them and if they don’t turn themselves in 24 hours the police will take over because this was breaking and entering, = vandalism and stealing. This was bigger than it was meant to be,” he said.

Northboro Animal Control says the goat, 10-year-old Heidi, went missing from a farm in Marlboro around 8 p.m. Monday night. She is now safely home without any injuries.
