BOSTON (WHDH) -
The family of the woman injured after falling down an elevator shaft at Fenway Park released a statement on Tuesday saying that the victim was in serious condition.
Elisabeth Scotland, 22, is hospitalized at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Her condition is serious and her prognosis is unknown, according to the statement.
A spokesperson for the family also stated that they are grateful for the support from the Boston community and the Red Sox organization.
"They acknowledge with gratitude the outpouring of love and support from their South Jersey community. They want to thank the Boston Police and Fire Departments for their response to this event," the spokesperson said.
No further information is available at this time.
Scotland had just graduated from the Boston University School of Management.
