Ted Kennedy diploma delivered 55 years later

Posted: Updated:
BOSTON (WHDH) - It's more than 50 years late, but late Senator Ted Kennedy is finally getting his diploma.

Kennedy graduated from the University of Virginia Law School back in 1959, but he skipped the school's commencement because he was helping his brother John's presidential campaign.

The school held onto the diploma all these years, presenting it to his great-nephew, Joseph Kennedy, after he delivered the school's commencement address on Sunday.
