LYNNFIELD, Mass. (WHDH) - Friday night, Lynnfield High School junior Shannon Doyle’s dream came true when she had a date to her prom.

Shannon has cerebral palsy and was having difficulty finding a date but thanks to her friend Rachel, she is attending the big dance.

"I knew he was such a gentleman and would love to go," Rachel said.

Rob Loconte, a sophomore, is going to the dance with Shannon and said he’s happy to help her make her dream come true.

“She deserves it. It’s going to be cool,” he said.

And what do Shannon's parents think of her Prince Charming?

"He's a great kid and they have good values," her dad Bill said.

After prom, Rob and Shannon both said they had a great time.

“We had a great time dancing on the floor with everyone getting the vibes going,” Rob said.
