Make-A-Wish sends 9-year-old Bruins fan to Game 7

Maddie Santosuosso is battling cancer, but thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation her Bruins dreams are coming true.

The 9-year-old’s room is covered in Bruins memorabilia, she even likes playing hockey, especially goalie.

“I like them so much if I could I’d have everything that I have be Boston Bruins,” Maddie said.

So a few weeks ago Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island made one of her wishes come true.

“I was so surprised when I saw Tuukka walk in, if you saw the picture my face was just stunned and I couldn’t say anything,” she said.

Maddie's dream continued, she got to practice with the Bruins and share the net with Rask.

“It was the best experience I ever had, being in the net with him and trying to stop pucks,” she said.

She even got to go to a pizza party in the team’s locker room.

“It was awesome, eating pizza. It looked like everyone was enjoying it. I love being with him, spending time with him,” Maddie said.

Tuukka had a replica of his helmet made for Maddie too, but there was one surprise left. She got the news from her dad today.

Make a Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island gave Maddie and her dad tickets to Wednesday’s game 7 against the Montreal Canadiens.

Maddie says she has a good feeling going into the game; she predicts it will go into overtime, but she's confident the Bruins will pull it out.

The tickets were donated by a fan from Montreal who couldn't make it to the game.
