Adam Williams tests new bike for Best Buddies Challenge

Posted: Updated:
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WHDH) - Special sensors, stereoscopic vision, mathematical instruments. It all sounds scientific and it is.

Kayna Whitworth, Julian Edelman and Adam Williams were at Cannondale Sports Store in Cambridge getting precisely fitted for the bikes they'll be riding from Boston to the Cape in the upcoming Best Buddies Challenge.

Technicians in Cambridge used the computer data recorded to professionally build their bikes, technology and the human heart in perfect sync.

The annual event, this year on May 31, raises money and awareness for people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

To see the process behind building the bikes, watch the video above.

Those interested can donate on pages set up for Adam and Kayna.
