After day after day stuck in the 40s and 50s to end the month of April, it certainly was nice to have more comfortable weather back in place yesterday as highs rose into the upper 60s.

Today, we'll see more upper 60s on average this afternoon.  While much of the day is dry, there is a risk of a pop-up shower or thunderstorm to pass by this afternoon.  The farther north and west one travels, the better the chance to catch one.  That also means Southeast Mass has a limited chance to see one.  On average, the rain chance runs about 30%.

As another spoke of energy slides through tonight, another passing shower or two is possible overnight and pre-dawn Sunday.

Those pre-dawn showers are east of us by sunrise Sunday, allowing for a dry and mild start to the day.  However, another spoke of energy and very cold air aloft, moves across southern New England in the afternoon, and that'll help spark scattered showers and storms in the afternoon.  Although I don't expect storms to reach severe criteria, gusty winds and small hail are possible in a few of the more potent storms.  Rain chance tomorrow afternoon runs 60% after a dry morning.

If you're joining 7News and Project Bread for the 46th Walk For Hunger tomorrow, temps near 50 for the rolling start in the morning and near 60 by noon.  We'll be dry through noon, but if you're going to be out all afternoon, I'd expect the chance for a passing shower or thunderstorm.  The breeze picks up too.

Monday and Tuesday feature overall quiet weather with temps near 60 and just a slight risk of a pop up shower in eastern Mass.

Enjoy the weekend and Go Sox and Go B's!
