BOSTON (WHDH) -

If you see an increased police presence in Boston this weekend, it might be part of a drill.

Two thousand law enforcement officials will take part in the biggest security drill in the city's history this weekend.

It's called the Urban Shield Program and for 24 hours, they will be conducting drills simulating large-scale public safety events in 11 different scenarios.

The organizers said the scenarios will be run multiple times but there is no danger to the public.

The training will wrap up Sunday morning.

Some of the drills included in the program are listed below:

  • An active shooter situation occurred at the Lincoln School in Brookline.
  • An injured officer situation was on the MIT campus in Cambridge.
  • A hostage rescue of elected officials was at Boston City Hall.
  • An explosive device found on a transit system was at the MBTA Regional Training Center on Foundry Street.
  • A parking lot collapse simulation occurred at the Boston Fire Training Academy on Moon Island.
  • A large-scale consolidated event was at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center
