Duxbury veteran firefighter dies

DUXBURY, Mass. (WHDH) - A firefighter who had been with the Duxbury Fire Department for 28 years died on Sunday.

John Thomas, 56, was a firefighter and EMT and died while on active duty.

The deputy fire chief said the death was "sudden" and from a medical condition. The exact cause is still under investigation.

The department put out bunting on the fire house.
