FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (WHDH) - A woman was hit by a commuter rail train at the Framingham stop early Friday morning.

The 77-year-old woman was airlifted to Beth Israel Hospital where she is recovering Saturday.

The woman was found unconscious, and it appeared she had been dragged for a distance.

It was unclear whether she was crossing the tracks or waiting for the train.

Inbound traffic on the line was shut down but has since resumed. Transit Police said to still expect delays.
