Suspected Revere burglar bruised in fight with homeowner

Posted: Updated:
CHELSEA, Mass. (WHDH) - An alleged burglar showed up in Chelsea court Thursday with a bruised face and stitches.

Anthony Pasco, 29, allegedly tried to burglarize a home in Revere, but the 59-year-old owner of the home chased Pasco down and, along with his nephew, held the suspect until police arrived.

Prosecutors said the owner arrived home around 11 p.m. Tuesday night, ran into the intruder, and feared for his wife, who had been inside sleeping on the couch.

"The defendant then turned and kicked him in the chest. He proceeds to punch the victim repeatedly in the face, stunning him," said prosecutor Myriam Feliz.

Prosecutors said Pasco broke free, but the homeowner and his nephew chased Pasco and held him until police arrived.

Pasco's lawyer said his client got the worst of the interaction, suffering from his face injury, a broken rib, and a punctured lung.

Papers showed Pasco had many arrests and five convictions for breaking and entering.

The judge ordered pasco held in lieu of $25,000 cash bail. If he makes bail, he will be ordered to stay away from the homeowner in Revere.
