Strong winds blow plywood of Newbury Street building

Posted: Updated:
BOSTON (WHDH) - Plywood and other construction materials were blown off a building on Newbury Street Wednesday afternoon.

Workers at 8 Newbury were doing construction on the building's first floor. They had boarded up the front window but their restraints were no match for the strong winds.

“I was looking out the window and I heard this loud wind and it just sort of fell apart like a puzzle. Four people almost got hit, steps away from the wood going down,” Steven Masker said.

There were no injuries reported and workers have replaced the plywood that was blown off.
