Child safe after getting stuck inside claw crane machine

Posted: Updated:
LINCOLN, Neb. (WHDH) - A child who climbed into a claw crane machine in a Nebraska bowling alley was removed safely after getting stuck inside with the toys.

The 3-year-old child supposedly crawled in through the prize door, which had a safety stop, then scaled into the pit. He was reportedly unhurt and not scared.

Employees at bowling alley called a vendor with the key to open the machine, then called police when they couldn't find the boy's mom.

Across the street, his mom had called police after she returned from the restroom to find her son missing.

Police said the mother was not cited because she contacted police upon discovering her son was missing. The child kept a toy as a memento from the experience.
