Yup……it sure did snow/sleet overnight. Remarkable how on Monday we were chasing 80 & now we talk about temps today only in the low 40s with morning wind chills in the 20s/30s. At least that sun will shine & if you are outside this afternoon in that strong April sun, it will be manageable.

Cold high pressure settles in this afternoon and is with us for the remainder of the week. Plan on a cold night with many cities & towns down into the 20s by early Thursday morning. Even downtown Boston will reach 31. Bring those potted plants inside. Thursday itself is loaded with sunshine but still chilly despite that April sun. High temps only reach the mid 40s. High pressure doesn’t move much on Friday..more sun, right?!…Nope…..High pressure will actually grab some clouds out over the ocean and toss them our way for much of Friday so plan on another cold day with mainly cloudy skies.

The Holiday Weekend looks decent with 2 of the 3 days looking great. Those two days are Easter Sunday as well as Patriot’s Day both offering sunshine & mild temps, mid 60s (cooler at the coast). Saturday will be a changeable day…clouds, sprinkles, sun, more clouds and even a passing brief shower (but not a washout). Temps in the 50s.

A closer look at Marathon Monday sees mostly sunny skies with temps in Hopkinton in the mid 40s then climbing to the upper 50s in metro Boston for the runners, volunteers and spectators. #BostonStrong
