Windy & Humid

Posted: Updated:
Moving day today for Mother Nature. She'll be moving our early summer weather---warmth and humidity--out of here and she will do it with some force. We already have clouds, drizzle & showers across southern New England and we will have that for the enitre day as a cpowerful cold front races across New York state. Make sure the rain gear you have can withstand the wind. It's an issue again today as wind gusts near 40 mph are likely at any time today. It is a warm wind though with temps the entire day expected to remain in the 60s.

Tonight the arctic front makes its pass through New England. As this happens, plan on a 3-5 burst of steady rain (even some thunderstorms), wind gusts near 40 mph and eventually a remarkable temperature crash. Temps around 8pm will still be near 60 but by midnight they will fall into the mid 40s and continue to fall overnight reaching the low 30s by early Wednesday morning. Rain will taper overnight but most towns get a soaking, picking up close to an inch of rain.

Wednesday & Thursday will be bright but cold as daytime temps only reach the upper 40s by afternoon. The mornings with start near 30. On Friday, we start with sunshine but clouds arrive by afternoon and still somewhat cool with afternoon temps near 50. Easter weekend still looks 50/50 with showers on Saturday but sun & clouds for Easter Sunday. As for Marathon Monday/Patriots Day it looks partly sunny with morning temps in Hopkinton in the 40s and midday temps in Wellesley-Boston in the 50s.

A day to perhaps remember, reflect, and heal some more. God bless the first responders in our communities.
