Mondays typically get a bad rap but today it will grab some headlines thanks to the warm bubble of air heading this way. In fact, even as I blog our temps are already above our normal daytime high (56). Such a warm start sets us up for a warm day with many cities & towns reaching the mid & upper 70s. The only knock on the day would be a fiesty wind, at times, gusting near 30 mph under a partly sunny sky.
Tuesday also features warmer than normal temps but not nearly as bright with mainly cloudy skies as well as the risk of some isolated showers early in the day and a much higher chance of widespread showers by mid afternoon & evening. Sadly, these showers are tied to an arctic front. Yup, I said it..arctic front. We don’t have snow in the forecast (they do across western/northern New England) but we do have much colder temps on the way for Wednesday & beyond. Daytime temps both Wednesday & Thursday may not make it out of the 40s! The pattern looks to remain cool right through Easter Weekend with mainly dry conditions (some rain showers on Saturday).
An early look toward Marathon Monday features mostly cloudy skies–a few light rain showers possible by afternoon. Temps running in the 40s & 50s during the race.
