What. A. Day!  Near 70 with sun filled skies today made for a perfect early Spring afternoon.  That westerly wind was just strong enough to hold back the sea breeze, with the exception of Cape Ann and a few spots along the immediate coast of the South Shore. So the question is, can we do it again?

While I do expect a mainly dry end to the weekend, we'll have to watch a warm front slide across New England tonight.  It'll be close enough to throw more clouds in here overnight, and perhaps a shower or two late overnight and early tomorrow across southern New Hampshire and far northern Mass.  Clouds tomorrow are more prevalent in the morning, especially across northern Mass and southern New Hampshire, but even there, should break for the afternoon.  With an active southwesterly wind temps warm into the upper 60s and lower 70s.  It'll be cooler (50s) across the Cape.

Monday is the warmest of the next 3 days with a gusty south to southwesterly wind.  Highs Monday will range from the 50s across the Cape, 60s over southern Bristol and southern Plymouth County, 70s along and north of route 44 in SE Mass and near 80 across the Merrimack Valley and southern NH.

Tuesday is mild too... mid to upper 60s, but showers start to work in by midday and and a soaking rain arrives in the afternoon and overnight.  Unfortunately, for those wanting to see the "Blood Moon", I don't think we'll get much of a chance early Tuesday AM thanks to clouds moving in. http://earthsky.org/space/what-is-a-blood-moon-lunar-eclipses-2014-2015

That rain ends predawn Wednesday, but so does the warmth as even 50 degrees will be a challenge to see both Wednesday and Thursday.

Right now, the next bout of rain looks to arrive Saturday with drier and relatively cool weather for Sunday and perhaps Marathon Monday.  We'll iron out those details in the week to come.

Enjoy the mild weather and the rest of the weekend!
