Teenager struck by vehicle in Randolph has died

RANDOLPH, Mass. (WHDH) - A teenage girl who was struck by a box truck in Randolph Thursday morning has died.

The 17-year-old was hit just after 10:00 a.m. at Union St. near Crawford Square. She was transported from the scene with life-threatening injuries, but was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The driver did stay on the scene to assist in the investigation.

Police said that the teenager was struck by the back of the truck, but aren't releasing any other details.

Units are investigating the crash and are warning drivers that significant delays are expected in the area.
