Early spring sometimes has an identity crisis….one day it’s snowing, the next you are tempted to throw in the window A/C units. It’s winter not ready to “let it go” and it’s summer just teasing us. Going back & forth between seasons usually results in wind. That wind helps to quickly move the air masses through New England.
Today will be one of those days where wind is with us yet again—like the past few days. Today’s wind is coming from the southwest….and so are the temps to our southwest. Somehow I got …wait for it…long-winded telling you that today would be a windy & warm day after our chilly morning. I think most towns will reach the mid 60s this afternoon under a mostly sunny sky. The only areas to not get in on the warm fun is Buzzards Bay, Cape/Islands due to that southwest wind blowing off the chilly ocean waters. In those locations plan on temps in the 50s. Clouds increase tonight.
Those clouds are tied to a weakening cool front. This front will fall asleep across New England during the day on Friday which means a lot fo clouds (still some sun) and even an isolated shower. The best chance for any showers, if at all, will be south of the MA Pike during tomorrow afternoon. Most of you will stay dry the entire day.
This front and its clouds will fade away on Saturday morning setting the table for a delightful weekend. Both days will offer mild weather as many cities/towns reach the upper 60s (cooler at the coast each day).
