Person struck by train at Ruggles Station

BOSTON (WHDH) - The MBTA Transit Police are reporting that a person has been struck by an Orange Line train Saturday.

A trespasser was struck at the Ruggles Station at around 5:30 p.m.

According to the department's Twitter, the person was transported by EMS. There is no word on the victim's condition, but MBTA Police confirm that the person is alive.

The incident is still being investigated. While the scene is still active, shuttle buses are replacing Orange Line service between Back Bay and Jackson Station.
