Cape Cod mother accused of driving while high

Posted: Updated:
BARNSTABLE, Mass. (WHDH) - Cape Cod police stopped a driver on the side of the road and took her baby into custody after she allegedly drove while under the influence of drugs.

Police say they got a call from a Falmouth doctor saying a patient may be driving under the influence with her son on the car.

Before they could broadcast an alert a caller reported an erratic driver on Route 28.

Kimberly Brown, 31, was stopped on the side of the road and according to police she fell asleep twice during her arrest.

Brown reportedly admitted to having a Percocet addiction and told investigators she may have been on Xanax when she was stopped.

Her son is OK and is now in DCF custody.

Charges against brown include operating under the influence of drugs and child endangerment.
