Haverhill special needs school nurse fired for fake license

Posted: Updated:
HAVERHILL, Mass. (WHDH) - When a Haverhill Public Schools official checked the credentials for a nurse working in the district they discovered that one woman had lied about her past.

7News is the only station reporting on middle school nurse who doctored documents to make herself look more qualified to help disabled children.

“It’s my understanding that the individual in charge of the nurses somehow discovered that this individual’s license wasn’t in fact her license; it was the license of another individual,” Haverhill Superintendent James Scully said.

Thursday school officials sent a letter to parents notifying them that the woman had been fired.

“To be able to get up out of bed every day and go to work and your work is with special needs children who you are supposed to be caring for, and you lied. She fell through the cracks and someone missed it” the father of one special needs student said.

Haverhill police are investigating and say they expect to press charges.

Officials say the woman was never alone with students and she has already been replaced.
