Bieber returns to S. Fla. to record new music

Posted: Updated:
NORTHEAST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) -- Just weeks after appearing for a deposition, Justin Bieber is back in South Florida.

The popular recording artist was spotted at The Hit Factory in Northeast Miami-Dade early Thursday morning.

According to a picture on his Instagram account, Bieber was working on a new track alongside fellow pop star Austin Mahone and rapper Birdman. The caption read: "New music, #YMCMB."

Another Instagram photo shows Bieber playing basketball in the parking lot. When he left the recording studio, a group of female fans lined up and watched as he was being driven away.

This is Bieber's second time back in Miami since his infamous deposition case about an incident that happened at The Hit Factory, involving a confrontation between a photographer and a body guard.

His visit comes as a 7News source confirms a plea deal could be in the works for his Miami Beach bust back in January. .

According to those law enforcement sources, the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office is considering reducing charges against the pop star from DUI to reckless driving. Authorities said a urine sample tested positive for Xanax and a blood alcohol content level of .014, which is well below the legal limit.

Also, officials said the GPS on the rented Lamborghini showed Bieber was not speeding.  "If you can imagine at 4 in the morning, a Lamborghini and a Ferrari even if going from zero to 40, opening up those engines, and that's what drew the officer's attention to their actions," said Miami Beach Police Chief Ray Martinez.

Bieber was never charged with drag racing and a possible plea deal may keep the DUI charge off his record.
