Storm watchers head to Plymouth during storm

Posted: Updated:
PLYMOUTH, Mass. (WHDH) - The wind is howling in Plymouth and flooding is becoming a growing concern, but people are still flocking to the shore.

"We got the day off. We stopped at Buzzards' Bay, then came here. It always gets bad here. I just got drenched taking a video of it," said Paul Malascino.

The winds are strong at Long Beach in Plymouth. High tide brought ferocious white-capped waves crashing over the sea wall, causing flooding that forced police to close roads. Once the water receded, storm watchers raced back.

"Just awesome, the power, it's crazy how bad it can be," said Chris Martin.

"I love seeing the waves, seeing what mother nature can bring us," said Bill Hill.

Police are also on the lookout for any severe damage, as well as making sure people coming to watch the storm are safe.
