Suspect car rolls after fleeing Bourne break-in

BOURNE, Mass. (WHDH) -

A Cape Cod man returned home Tuesday afternoon to find a suspicious car pulling out of his driveway, a story seen on Just One Station.

The man followed the suspicious vehicle and called police, telling them where the vehicle was going and giving them a description of the vehicle.

As the vehicle entered a rotary in Bourne the driver lost control sending the vehicle rolling over and the homeowner’s items flying out of the car.

"I knew that there was no way these guys weren’t going to make that turn and I saw the wheels in the air that point in time," Bob Jarvis, the homeowner, said.

The man’s wife spoke inside the police station as 7News was there to see the family claim their stolen items.

“I think he just was kind of like 'don’t mess with my house, don’t take my stuff, I’m going to find you.' It probably wasn’t the right thing to do but he was kind of reacting. Otherwise we would have come home and not known who it was or how they got in or that our stuff was missing. They would have never been caught,” Jen Jarvis said.

The two suspects were airlifted to Boston for injuries sustained from the crash.
