Police seek two men for Waltham murder

Posted: Updated:
WALTHAM, Mass. (WHDH) - Arrest warrants have been issued for two suspects in the shooting death of Waltham teen Tyler Zanco.

Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Waltham Police Chief Keith MacPherson are seeking the public’s help finding 22-year-old Domingo Mendes of Belmont and 21-year-old Taylor Poulin of Newton.

Police consider Mendes to be armed and dangerous. He is described as a black male, 5’10” tall and 165 lbs. Mendes is wanted on charges of murder, possession of a firearm and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Poulin, who is described as a white male, 6’ tall and 220 lbs, is wanted in charges of assault and battery, unlicensed possession of a firearm and conspiracy to violate drug laws. He may be driving a 2002 black Ford Explorer.

Tuesday night police raided Mendes' apartment, but they say he wasn't there.

Police believe the suspects knew Zanco, and that his death the night of March 20 was not random although a motive hasn't been released yet.

Anyone with information about the two suspects is asked to contact the Waltham Police at (781) 314-3607 or Massachusetts State Police Detectives at (781) 897-6600.

Mendes was previously arrested in 2013, charged with having a gun with scratched-off serial numbers. He was also arrested in Waltham for assault and battery a few weeks earlier.
