Barrington man crashes into telephone pole while intoxicated
ROCHESTER, N.H. (WHDH) -
A man was arrested in Rochester, N.H. early Saturday morning after crashing into a telephone pole while intoxicated.
According to police, the car had struck the telephone pole, snapping it in half and entangling the car in wires. The broken pole blocked a portion of the road, which shut down during and after the investigation.
Jeffrey Call, of Barrington, N.H., had left the scene of the accident prior to officer arrival. With the assistance of witnesses and a K-9 unit, police were able to track him down a short distance from the scene.
Call was charged with DWI and conduct after an accident. He was placed on $2,000 personal recognizance bail. He's expected to be arraigned in court on April 7.
