Framingham laundromat clerk robbed at knifepoint

Posted: Updated:
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (WHDH) - Police are looking for suspects in an armed robbery that took place at a laundromat in Framingham Thursday night.

The store owner said that two men walked into the Fluff 'N Fold Laundromat on Waverly Street as the clerk was counting the money in the cash register. One suspect walked behind the counter and brandished a knife as another reached into the register.

The clerk, according to surveillance video, had to hold the arms of one of the suspects as one tried to stab him and other punched him. This struggle occurred apparently because the burglars demanded more money.

The two eventually leave the store with around $800 in cash and coins, some of which was from the clerk's pockets.

The same laundromat was robbed the next night, but police can't confirm if it's the same suspects since the surveillance video is dark.

Anyone who has information about either of these robberies are asked to call Framingham Police.
