BOSTON (WHDH) -

Officials said a heavy load of steel is likely to blame for the partial building collapse in Boston's Theatre District, a story you first saw on 7News.

"All the beams in the basement were rattling. So we heard that, we came running out right away," construction worker Ed Taylor said.

It happened around 8 a.m. Thursday morning at a high rise building that's under construction.

"Next thing you know we come out and everybody was out there to take inventory of all the personnel that was there," construction worker Scott Snow said.

Two workers are still recovering from injuries. One of them suffered a serious head injury. The other had a minor back injury. Both workers are expected to be ok.

Contractors for the building said they are fully cooperating with the city's safety investigators.
