Man accused of taking children on 'death run'

Posted: Updated:

A Framingham uncle has been accused of taking his niece and nephew on a terrifying ride, but he claimed it was all an accident.

Police said Peter Curtis told the 10 and 15-year-olds they were going on a death run before topping speeds of 100 miles per hour and crashing his car Monday night.

Curtis said the police have it all wrong, but witnesses told a different story.

“It was a mistake that's what it was,” Curtis said.

"I heard the kids say something about their uncle and that he was going very very fast, that's what I heard the girl say," said one witness.

That young girl is still being treated for her injuries. The 15-year-old boy has already been released from the hospital.
