Riders to test 'MBTA rings'

Posted: Updated:
UNDATED (WHDH) -

It's a fashionable way to say "open sesame" on the MBTA.

Some riders will soon be testing the "sesame ring". It's fitted with the same computer chips found inside Charlie Cards. All you have to do is tap your ring at the turnstiles.

The ring was invented by some MIT students.

People who helped fund the project will be the first to try it out.
