ROXBURY, Mass. (WHDH) - A shootout between two cars on Saturday ended when the driver of an SUV lost control and slammed into a building in Roxbury.

The building on Blue Hill Ave. at Devon St. is home to the Boston Workers Alliance, which tries to stem violence by putting people to work "so they don't have time to do stuff like this," said Tracy Parks, who left the office at around 9:00 a.m. Saturday.

Two hours later, the SUV busted through the concrete and landed in the front office.

"Thank god it did happen on the weekend and the office was closed because I'm sure where the car was we would have had a fatality," Parks said.

Police said that by the time they came upon the vehicle, it was empty. Officers tracked down two suspects who claimed to know nothing about the incident.

Investigators are now searching for the person who shot at the vehicle. No arrests have been made at this time.

The vehicle has been removed from the building. It's unclear when the Boston Workers Alliance will reopen.
