Julian Edelman reaches new deal with Patriots

Posted: Updated:
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WHDH) - Tom Brady's most reliable target is staying in New England.

The wide receiver Julian Edelman has reached an agreement with the Patriots that'll keep him in uniform.

Edelman and the team are working out a three-year deal after he shopped himself to the San Francisco 49ers. Sources said he didn't get the market he was anticipating.

The 27-year-old is coming off his best season as a pro, suiting up for all 16 games for the first time in his career. He caught 105 passes for 1,056 yards and six touchdowns.
